DLC is a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating treatment by which the blade is electrically charged with varying gasses to alter the chemical composition of the surface, allowing a 20% increase in surface strength when compared to its predecessor. The hardened steel surface is less susceptible to be stripped by debris in stride, allowing the blade to hold an edge longer without adding additional weight to your skates. True Hockey's DLC process results in a black and sleek finish.
The True Shift DLC Blacksteel Runners are designed to fit seamlessly with the True VH Shift holders. These are true DLC steel and not to be confused with the Onyx steel; these are the best True runners on the market.
